Faux Bounty Bars

Who doesn’t love to indulge every once and a while??

If you’ve ever had a bounty bar growing up, you know just how addicting they can be. I love love love anything coconut, but I don’t eat dairy or gluten and tend to avoid refined sugar whenever I can, which is why these are a great alternative to your typical chocolate bar.

These faux bounty bars are not only gluten free and vegan, but packed with healthy fats and the only sugar source used for them is maple syrup.

Sooo how to you make these?

You will need …

- 4 cups of shredded coconut

- 1 cup of maple syrup (or agave)

- 1/2 cup of coconut oil

- 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract

- 1/2 teaspoon of Himalayan salt

- 1 GiddyYoyo raw chocolate bar

1. In a large bowl combine dry ingredients and mix together.

2. Add all other ingredients, apart from the chocolate, into the bowl and mix together using a fork.

3. In a bread pan spread the mixture evenly then place in the freezer to set (until hard, approx 2 hours). 4.Once the mixture is hardened, take out of the pan and cut into squares.

5. Use the double broiler to melt the chocolate.

6. Dip the squares into the chocolate to coat the bottom and place upside down on your cookie sheet covered in parchment paper.

7. Once all squares are coated, place in the fridge until the chocolate hardens.

8.Take squares out of the fridge and remelt chocolate to drizzle over top. Top with your favorite toppings and enjoy
