Gluten-Free Bang Bang Shrimp
Working in the restaurant industry for years has always had me jealous of everything other people could eat without feeling god awful afterwards. But instead of getting completely down on myself about it, I love trying to recreate the things I always want to try!
For this recipe I recreated State & Main’s Bang Bang Shrimp!
What you need …
1 lb of shrimp (peeled, etc)
1 egg
1/2 cup of arrowroot powder
2/3 cup of coconut flour
1/2 teaspoon of Himalayan salt
Avocado oil for frying
Chopped green onion for garnish
Sesame seeds for garnish
For the sauce …
1/3 cup of mayo
Sriracha to taste
For the shrimp …
Start by mixing the arrowroot powder, coconut flour, sea salt and pepper to taste in one bowl.
In another bowl whisk your egg.
Heat your avocado oil in a frying pan.
Dip each shrimp into the egg, then coat them into the flour and place them in the pan. Fry until brown on each side and take out of the pan
For the sauce …
Combine mayo/sriracha to taste and enjoy!
